Education
Ms. Standing
attended the University of Michigan where she received a
Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1980. She pursued her legal
education at the University of Detroit Law School where
she received her JD in 1984.
Professional Experience
Prior
to joining Conklin Benham, Ms. Standing was employed as
a senior trial attorney exclusively handling workers'
compensation defense matters for a large insurance
company, representing a variety of employers in
Michigan. As a senior trial attorney, Ms. Standing
was responsible for assigning and coordinating the
handling of litigated workers' compensation cases.
She supervised the handling of all workers' compensation
cases and attorneys and was responsible for the day to
day management of seven staff including reorganization
of personnel and dockets to provide efficient quality
legal representation.
