offices in Bingham Farms, Traverse City, Grand

S. Gerard Conklin
(1903-1975), previously of Alexander, Buchanan, and
Conklin, and Robert L. Benham, now retired, founded the
firm in 1963.
Initially, Conklin Benham
concentrated exclusively on matters of workers'
compensation defense. In order to more adequately meet
the needs of its clients, Conklin Benham expanded its
services to include liability defense representation.
As the reputation of the firm grew and to assist
clients throughout the State, the Traverse City office
opened in 1983. An office in Grand Rapids was then
added, followed by the opening of our Ann Arbor office, which has enabled the firm to service clients in all
counties in Michigan.
