Education
Mr. Gillman
earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of
Michigan, and received his legal education at the Thomas
M. Cooley Law School.
Professional Experience
William Milliken appointed Mr. Gillman Chairman of the
Michigan Workers' Compensation Appeal Board in 1971.
He has served industry and government as an expert on
workers' compensation issues and has written many
articles on the subject. Articles written by Mr.
Gillman on workers' compensation issues have appeared in
publications such as the Detroit Journal of Urban
Law, the Cooley Law Review, the IAIABC
Journal, the Michigan Lawyers Manual, and the
1995 Michigan Defense Quarterly. Mr. Gillman
represents a wide variety of self-insured employers, and
insurance carriers throughout the state of Michigan.
Affiliations
Mr.
Gillman is an associate member and former officer of the
International Association of Industrial Accident Boards
and Commissioners (IAIABC). For ten years, he was a
faculty member of the annual Workers'
Compensation College. He is also a member of the
Workers'
Compensation Section of the State Bar of Michigan.
