Education
Ms. Beard graduated with honor from Michigan State University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/Pre-Law. She attended Wayne State University Law School and received her Juris Doctor in May of 2007. During law school, Ms. Beard was a member of the Wayne State Law School Moot Court Team where she earned the 1st Place Oralist Team Award at the 2005 Arthur Neef Moot Court Competition and the 3rd Place Overall Oralist Award at the 2006 Michigan Moot Court Competition.
Professional Experience
Prior to coming to the firm, Ms. Beard clerked for a family law firm in West Bloomfield and worked as an intern for a non-profit family law clinic. She also served as a student intern for the Wayne State Disability Law Clinic. During undergrad, Ms. Beard served as an intern for the Michigan House of Representatives Communications Department.
